Review: NARS Orgasm Blush + Swatches

Probably one of the most well known, coveted and purchased blush on the market: NARS Orgasm Blush. A peachy pink with a golden sheen to give you a perfect flush of color. When I first started getting into makeup, I wanted to try a bunch of things from NARS so bought this trio pallet that had this blush, Albatross highlighter and Laguna bronzer.

This blush is described as a peachy pink with a golden sheen, which is exactly what this blush is. It’s the perfect balance between pink and peach, and has a subtle gold sheen, not glitter! This is very finely milled powder, with not fallout when tapping your brush into the product or as you apply it. It’s also quite pigmented, definitely not the most pigmented blush you’ll find, but its also not sheer.

On my combination skin this lasts all day, but at about the 8 hour mark there is some noticeable fading. I also find with this blush that I don’t find the need to wear a highlighter of any kind, because the golden sheen in the blush is enough highlighter for me. But if you had drier skin and you wanted a more luminous look you may or may not feel the need for an extra bit of highlighter.

This is a great blush for many different shades of skin, from fair to deep, and I think this would also work for either warmer or cooler toned skin.

The packaging I have of this bush is completely different than the packaging you’ll receive if you buy this as a single blush, so it is houses in a canvas wrapped pallet with a zipper closure. If you were to buy this as a singular blush it’ll be in the signature rubberized compact with the snap closure.

Again mine is different, mine was I believe 50 for the trio, but for a singular blush it is 29 for 0.16 oz.

I really enjoy this blush, I think it’s a perfect balance of some very popular blush colors, so it can fit a wide range of skin tones and undertones. It’s nicely pigmented and not overly shimmery. Definitely would repurchase if for some reason I used it up or lost it.

And now for some swaches!

Close up of the product, you can kind of see a peek of the albatross highlighter next to it

Blended swatch (top), heavy swatch (bottom) keep in mind the shimmer is a bit exaggerated because this photo was taken in full sunlight.

Thats it for now lovelies, if you have any questions or comments please leave them down below, I love hearing from you guys. Also what do you think of this cult favorit blush? Love it? Hate it? Tell me! Until next time . . .

  1. For some reason, I couldn’t get Orgasm to work on me. I found the golden sheen to come off as an overwhelming amount of glitter once applied to my checks. I was supper bummed though, Orgasm looks so amazing on other people
